About the Role

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of application-focused projects across the organisation, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, budget, and timelines while aligning closely with business requirements and technical architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery for application development, enhancements, and system integration initiatives.
  • Define project scope, schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Drive execution and monitor project performance, risks, and issues to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure alignment to architecture, security, and IT governance frameworks.
  • Oversee application development, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Manage projects involving system upgrades, application enhancements, workflow changes, and custom development.
  • Coordinate with developers, architects, business analysts, and QA teams.
  • Ensure application solutions meet performance, usability, and scalability requirements.
  • Engage business stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage expectations.
  • Facilitate workshops, sprint reviews, and steering committee meetings.
  • Manage relationships with software vendors, implementation partners, and service providers.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, and status reports.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational PMO standards and change control processes.
  • Provide regular progress updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee UAT planning, test execution support, and defect resolution.
  • Coordinate release management, deployment readiness, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Support user training, adoption, and change management activities.

Requirements

  • Matric and a Tertiary Qualification
  • 10 years experience as a Project Manager delivering application-related projects

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of application development lifecycle (SDLC), software engineering, and testing processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
  • Knowledge of system integration, APIs, and data flows.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and project governance skills.
