About the Role
The Site Controller plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mining site in Hotazel, Northern Cape. This position requires a highly organized and experienced individual to oversee the movement of trucks between the staging area and the mine.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely arrival of trucks at the staging area and coordinate loading operations
- Communicate monthly targets to stakeholders and plan actions to achieve them
- Maintain accurate records of truck movements, tonnage, and staging area activities
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement safety protocols as necessary
- Prepare and submit H&S reports to management
Requirements
- Logistics experience as a Site Controller in a producing mine (coal, iron ore, manganese, nickel, cobalt)
- Matric with maths
- Ability to work shifts
- Experience with tonnage and trucks in the staging area of the mine
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification advantageous
