Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role: A bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or financial management is essential for this role. Previous experience having worked within a financial accounting role is essential. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of South African tax. Previous experience having worked on Navision or a related ERP System is preferred. Previous experience working for an international company is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate must be a good team player, dedicated, flexible and have exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills. Must have the ability to prioritise and to handle various duties as well as have a good problem-solving ability. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Handling the full finance function, overseeing and supporting the South African business entity for this international agricultural company. Processing all financial transactions from source documents to the financial statement level, including year-end entries, as well as adjustments and payroll processing. Ensuring customer payments are received on time and supplier payments are made on time. Preparing annual financial statements. Preparing the annual audit file and submission of documents to the external auditors. Submitting statutory and other returns, e.g. workmens compensation and the annual return. Processing bank entries and bank reconciliations. Processing of foreign and local purchase invoices, bank entries and bank reconciliations, overhead invoices etc. Preparing annual budgets and cash flow forecasts as well as preparing and analysing the monthly management accounts. Preparing and submitting provisional and annual income tax submission as well as submission of vat and employee taxes to SARS. Reconcile Emp501 and process Supplier payments and debtors and creditors. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
