Job Description

We are looking for a detail-orientated and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join our busy, fast-paced Durban operation. This role is cental to delivering excellent customer service,supporting external sales, and ensuring accurate and efficient sales administration. Previous experience or knowledge within the steel,pipe,flange and valve industry will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone, email, and internal systems Prepare and process quotations in line with pricing and margin guidelines Follow up on quotations to convert inquiries into confirmed sales Capture and process sales orders accurately on the system Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time order fulfilment Maintain strong relationships with key and repeat customers Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving sales targets Provide feedback and insights to improve sales processes and customer engagement Proven experience in an Internal Sales / Sales Support role Experience in the manufacturing or steel industry will be a strong advantage Solid understanding of sales principles, pricing, and quotation processes Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment Strong organisational and time-management skills Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
