Job Description

Location: Ottery, Western Cape Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) Minimum N3 in Millwright Trade Theory Trade Tested Millwright (Red Seal preferred) Minimum 5 years experience post-trade test in a manufacturing/plastics/injection moulding environment Strong knowledge of: Injection moulding processes Hydraulics and pneumatics Mechanical and electrical fault finding Workshop and toolroom practices Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics Experience working with: Lathes, milling machines, welders and hand/power tools Compressed air systems and cooling water systems Electrical motor control systems Sound knowledge of Health & Safety standards and safe working procedures Understanding of preventative maintenance planning and spare parts management Ability to work overtime, weekends and attend to breakdown call-outs when required Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with production and technical teams Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced fault finding, root cause analysis and breakdown repairs on injection moulding machinery and factory equipment Conduct preventative and planned maintenance according to maintenance schedules Maintain and repair factory infrastructure including compressed air systems, cooling water systems and building maintenance Manufacture and modify mechanical parts using workshop equipment (lathe, milling machine, welding equipment) Assist with machine installations, electrical cabling and pipework Identify critical spares and assist with spare parts analysis and stock control Liaise with external suppliers and toolrooms for specialised repairs and quotations Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and housekeeping standards Support food safety and GMP requirements where applicable Maintain accurate job logs, maintenance records and assist with maintenance budgeting Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve plant efficiency How to Apply:
