About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned General Manager with Head Chef experience to join our client’s luxurious retreat in Stellenbosch Winelands. As a hands-on professional passionate about food, guest experience, and nature-driven hospitality, you will play a key role in leading daily operations, elevating service standards, and ensuring guests enjoy an unforgettable Winelands escape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations, including accommodation, guest services, and food & beverage operations
- Collaborate on menu development, seasonal produce planning, and food quality control
- Manage budgets, suppliers, stock, and cost controls to uphold high standards in guest experience and property presentation
- Support premium guest activities (hot tubs, braai areas, spa options, pool areas, honesty bar)
- Provide creative input into menus and guest experiences
Requirements
- Proven hospitality leadership experience within a lodge, hotel, or similar environment
- Strong background as a Head Chef or senior culinary professional
- Skilled in menu collaboration, seasonal produce planning, and food quality control
- Strong communication and people-management abilities
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers, stock, and cost controls
