About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and professional Sous Chef to join a luxury guest farm in Franschhoek, Western Cape. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-end, open-plan kitchen environment with a strong emphasis on professionalism and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans and head chef instructions
- Manage kitchen staff and ensure efficient service delivery
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Assist the head chef with menu planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in professional kitchens
- Formal culinary training
- Open-minded and adaptable approach
- Understanding of traditional kitchen hierarchy – must follow instructions from the Head Chef
- Respectful and professional in an open-plan kitchen environment
