About the Role
At The President Hotel, we strive for perfection in every detail, and our housekeeping team plays a vital role in delivering an unforgettable guest experience. As a Room Attendant, you will be part of a high-volume 349-room environment where consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards, ensuring rooms are prepared efficiently and accurately for arrivals, stayovers, and departures.
- Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, linen, amenities, and surfaces meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Assist with cleaning corridors, service areas, and assigned public spaces when required.
- Manage housekeeping trolleys with linen, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies required for daily duties.
- Identify and report maintenance issues or room defects to the relevant department promptly.
- Respond politely and professionally to guest requests when approached and escalate concerns where required.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
- Current housekeeping experience within a hotel (min 2 years)
- Strong understanding of room cleaning standards and procedures
Qualifications
- Valid South African ID or work permit
