About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the Package Manufacturing industry is urgently seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Health and Safety portfolio in the Engineering space and contributing to the development of a sustainable and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Health and Safety portfolio in the Engineering space.
- Develop and review H&S rules/policies/procedures.
- Facilitate H&S quarterly meetings.
- Conduct H&S audits.
- Arrange annual medicals for all employees.
- Initiate evacuation drills.
- Ensure H&S files/reports are up to date.
- Involvement in engineering projects and continuous improvement engineering.
- Research and propose sustainability initiatives.
- Propose and implement engineering projects that drive sustainability.
- Monitor for any possible system deficiencies or areas of difficulty.
- Manage administrative tasks as part of the role.
Requirements
- Minimum of BTech or BSc Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience (junior, graduate level type person).
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R400k/yr – R300k/yr (salary negotiable).
