About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the FMCG Manufacturing industry is urgently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join their team in Cape Town. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize maintenance management software to plan and schedule all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians and supervisors to understand and prioritize maintenance needs.
- Develop comprehensive maintenance schedules, taking into account equipment availability, workload, and personnel.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment, parts, and materials required for maintenance tasks.
- Evaluate maintenance requests and determine the appropriate action to address issues, delegating tasks to technicians as needed.
- Monitor and update maintenance records, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities.
- Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and suggest proactive measures to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and plans.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize disruptions and downtime during maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner or similar role.
- Technical background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices, procedures, and techniques.
- Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and vendors.
- Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to suggest innovative ideas for process improvement.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional certification or technical training is a plus.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R650K/yr – R550K/yr (salary negotiable)
