Report to BI Manager Job Purpose: Work closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to transform raw, multi-source data into reliable, timely, and actionable insights. This role blends strong data fundamentals with modern AI-assisted analysis to accelerate delivery of dashboards, reports, and decision support Key Performance Indicators: On-time delivery of dashboards/reports against SLAs. Data quality metrics: completeness, accuracy, reconciliation rates. Stakeholder satisfaction scores and adoption of dashboards. Measured impact of AI-assisted insights (time saved, decision quality Qualifications and Experience: Grade 12 Tertiary qualification ( Degree/Diploma in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science or related field) 24 years in a Data Analyst role supporting BI/reporting, ideally in operations or service environments. Skills & Knowledge required: SQL (intermediate to advanced): joins, aggregations, etc. Power BI: data modelling, DAX, Power Query; dashboard UX and performance optimisation. Excel (advanced): Pivot Tables, Power Query, data cleaning techniques. Nice to have: AI tool proficiency: Copilot/ChatGPT or similar for insight generation; prompt engineering best practices and result validation. Nice to have: Think-Cell Analytical storytelling: turning data into clear narratives and recommendations. Awareness of data governance and privacy (e.g., POPIA) Exposure to Python or suitable alternatives to enable report automation Personal Attributes: Communication: Clearly convey insights in reports, dashboards, and discussions using audience-appropriate language. Analytical & Problem-Solving Break down complex problems, identify patterns, and make logical decisions. Understand organizational goals and how data drives success. See the bigger picture when prioritizing analytics tasks. Collaboration & Interpersonal Work cooperatively, show empathy, and build strong stakeholder relationships. Present insights convincingly and align stakeholders on data-driven actions. Stay effective during changes in tools, processes, or priorities.
