About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contracts Manager to oversee the successful execution of fire protection projects within the Cape Town area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing contracts, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensuring that all fire protection systems are installed and maintained in accordance with local and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and manage all contracts for fire protection projects, ensuring they are in compliance with company policies, local regulations, and safety standards.
- Negotiate terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Monitor the progress of contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, suppression systems, etc.), safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent contract negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong financial acumen for managing project budgets and cost control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Fire Protection, or a related field. (Preferable)
