About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Field Guide to lead safari experiences, mentor junior guides, and deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxury lodge environment. We are looking for a highly skilled guide with significant experience leading game drives, walking safaris, and providing expert knowledge on wildlife, conservation, and ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead guided game drives and walking safaris for guests
- Provide expert knowledge on wildlife, conservation, and ecosystems
- Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests
- Mentor and support junior field guides
- Assist with vehicle, equipment, and trail maintenance
- Monitor and record wildlife sightings and lodge trails
- Contribute to lodge operations and special projects as required
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Field Guide, preferably within a luxury lodge
- Relevant qualifications (FGASA or equivalent)
- Strong wildlife and conservation knowledge
- Excellent guest communication and presentation skills
- Leadership skills and ability to mentor junior guides
- Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours
