Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking to employ a Shift Supervisor Plate Making to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Certificate in a Technical or Production-related field (NQF 5)
- Diploma in a Technical or Production-related field (NQF 6) advantageous
- Trade Test (NQF 5) advantageous
- First Line Management (FLMP) Certificate (NQF 5) advantageous
- Up to 5 years experience in Production / Maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- 12 years at a supervisory level
Responsibilities
Production and Operations Control:
- Achieve production targets through effective use of resources
- Ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Ensure strong communication across departments
Maintenance Control:
- Coordinate preventative and first-line maintenance
- Minimise downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance
- Raise and approve job cards and ensure compliance with safety permits
- Maintain safe working conditions and housekeeping standards
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Identify and report risks within the department
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Staff Supervision:
- Manage employee performance and conduct appraisals
- Identify training and development needs
- Handle employee relations matters effectively
Financial Control:
- Assist with budgeting processes
- Monitor and control departmental expenditure
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain strong internal and external relationships
- Represent the company in meetings where required
