About the Role
The National Construction Equipment Technical Manager position at Lotus HR and Recruitment requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing group assets and leading diverse teams. We are seeking an individual who can provide technical support, manage assets efficiently, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage group assets such as site construction equipment, transportation vehicles, and company workshops.
- Ensure Hazchem and environmental and road transport legislation is upheld.
- Manage asset licensing, insurances/claims management, workshop documentation management.
- Provide technical support to teams and maintain meticulous staffing and performance records.
- Schedule servicing of equipment/fleet and ensure profitability and effective use of company assets.
- Collaborate with key suppliers and manage goods and services per branch and workshop.
- Develop and implement people management strategies.
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering or related qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in effectively managing group assets.
- Strong background in managing diverse teams at multiple workshops.
- Experience in providing technical support to teams.
- Key supplier management of goods and services per branch and workshop.
- Scheduling servicing of equipment/fleet.
- Proficiency in budget management (expenses, costing, losses, profits and variances).
- Sound working experience of HSE, Quality (ISO 9001 and 14001).

- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) not specified.
