Our Client in the Agriculture / Plant Nursery Industry is seeking to employ a Farm Technical Supervisor to join their team based in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape.

Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
-
Technical trade certificate (advantage)
-
35 years farm / technical operations experience
-
Proven team supervision experience
-
Valid Code 08 / EB drivers licence
-
Electrical fault-finding and repairs
-
Farm equipment operation
-
IsiXhosa speaker (advantage)
Responsibilities:
-
Supervise 525 semi-skilled and unskilled workers daily
-
Monitor productivity, task completion and worker progress
-
Train workers in techniques, safety and equipment use
-
Implement disciplinary procedures per company policy
-
Allocate tasks and resources efficiently to meet deadlines
-
Liaise with other managers and supervisors across departments
-
Maintain records of work completed and materials used
-
Report on project and team progress to management
-
Conduct technical operations & maintenance: electrical, plumbing, pumps, irrigation, bark plant, equipment, machinery, levels and site measurements
-
Plan and execute farm development and infrastructure improvements
-
Coordinate with external contractors
-
Ensure compliance with operational and safety standards
