About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Control & Administrative Assistant to join our team at Pillango Placements in George. The ideal candidate will have experience in stock control or administration, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and stock management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and capture incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts.
  • Monitor stock levels and alert management when items fall below minimum thresholds.
  • Ensure proper labelling, storage, and organisation of all stock areas.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or variances promptly.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (essential)
  • 1–2 years’ experience in stock control or an administrative role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and stock management systems
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills in English and/or Afrikaans

Qualifications

  • Admin or Supply Chain certificate advantageous
