About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client, a leading mining company, is seeking a skilled Quality Manager to join their team in Thabazimbi, Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust Quality Management System that aligns with international standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and sustain a robust Quality Management System that aligns with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and manage internal quality control processes for cement production.
  • Oversee and ensure rigorous testing of raw materials, in-process production, and final products to meet established quality standards.
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to enhance manufacturing processes, minimizing defects, waste, and variability.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international quality regulations, including preparation for and participation in internal and external audits.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback regarding product quality, collaborating with production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to assess and monitor the quality of raw materials and suppliers, ensuring adherence to company standards.

Requirements

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Related Field
  • Quality Management Certificate (advantageous)
  • More than 2 years experience within the Cement or Manufacturing Industry
  • Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act
