Job Summary
Role Overview: A Behavioral Detection Officer responsible for observing and identifying suspicious behavior in individuals, particularly in high-traffic or secure areas, to ensure the safety of people and property. Responsibilities:
Behavioral Surveillance: Monitor individuals in assigned areas to detect suspicious behavior or unusual actions. Observe non-verbal cues, including body language and facial expressions, to identify potential threats or security breaches. Alarm and Camera Monitoring: Assist in monitoring CCTV cameras and alarm systems for any unusual activity. Respond to any alerts or suspicious movements picked up by the security systems. Incident Reporting: Report suspicious behaviors or activities to senior security personnel for further action. Maintain logs of daily observations and activities, ensuring that all incidents are accurately documented. Collaborate with Security Team: Communicate findings with fellow security staff to ensure a coordinated approach to any potential threats. Provide input based on observations to help the team improve overall security measures. Qualifications and
Requirements:
Education and Certifications: Grade 12 / Matric (essential). PSIRA Grade C Certification (essential). Experience: Call Centre Experience (beneficial but not essential). Technical Background in Alarm Systems and Cameras (beneficial but not essential). Advanced Surveillance and Body Language Skills (beneficial but not essential). Key Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods. Basic understanding of security systems, including cameras and alarm systems. Ability to remain calm and observant in high-pressure situations. Clear communication skills for reporting incidents.
