Job Summary
Our client in Dubai is looking for a skilled Fabrication Supervisor who is ready to relocate to the Middle East and join their team.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Degree/Diploma in Fabrication or Welding Technology is also beneficial.
- Relevant certifications in welding, fabrication, or project management (e.g., AWS, ISO standards).
- 5 to 10 years experience in Fabrication/welding or related area.
- Experience in sectors such as construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities to oversee fabrication teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations in the fabrication shop.
- Ensure all fabrication activities are carried out according to specifications and standards.
- Lead and manage a team of fabricators and welders.
- Assign tasks based on project requirements and individual team member strengths.
- Monitor the quality of work performed, conducting inspections and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards.
- Ensure that safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and training sessions for the team.
- Develop and manage daily work schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with project managers to align fabrication activities with overall project timelines.
- Manage inventory of materials and tools, ensuring availability for ongoing projects.
- Order supplies and materials as needed, while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during the fabrication process.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or fabrication discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including timesheets and progress reports.
- Report on project status and any incidents to upper management.
- Mentor and train junior staff and new hires on fabrication techniques and safety practices.
- Encourage continuous skill development within the team.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and other supervisors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Participate in project meetings to provide input on fabrication-related matters.
