Job Summary
Our client in Dubai is looking for skilled Safety Managers who are ready to relocate to the Middle East and join their team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management or a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence employees at all levels.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a strong focus on building a safety culture within the organization.
- Familiarity with safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring high standards of safety.
- Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and policies in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees to promote awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents and near-misses, preparing reports and recommending preventative measures to minimize future incidents.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, as well as internal safety policies.
- Prepare and present safety reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring staff are trained and prepared for emergencies.
- Work closely with various departments to promote a proactive safety culture and support operational goals.
- Oversee the selection, maintenance, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
- Stay current with industry safety trends and regulations, implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
