SA STEELWORKS – STORES ADMINISTRATOR AIRPORT INDUSTRIA– CAPE TOWN Company profile: SA Metal Group is South Africa’s oldest and largest metal recycling company. The Group purchases and processes all forms of ferrous metals (steel and iron) and non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, zinc, stainless steel, brass and others) from industrial enterprises, scrap metal dealers and private individuals. Our processing facilities are located in and around Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Job description: The Stores department currently has a vacancy for an attentive to detail, process-driven individual to join their team. The Stores Administrator`s primary purpose is to provide administrative support to the department. He/she will also be required to: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Generate Catalogue purchase requests on Fraxion. Generate Purchase requests on Fraxion Forward all Purchase Orders received from Procurement Department to relevant suppliers. Liaise with suppliers on a daily basis on all outstanding orders and partly supplied orders. Process invoices on Fraxion Verify and process on Fraxion the monthly invoice for staff transport Filing Capture daily diesel usage Conduct daily cycle counts and year-end stock takes Scan sick certificates and email to Group Stores Manager for processing Liaise with HR to coordinate departmental training and skills development Notify HR daily on monthly employees absenteeism Prepared to work overtime when required Perform any other duties assigned to you Housekeeping Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Acta Personal
Requirements:
Good communication skills both written and verbal Strong attention to detail Ability to effectively communicate with people on all levels Be self-motivated and results driven Be able to work accurately in a highly pressurised environment Disciplined in following procedures when executing tasks Physically mobile and energetic Planning, decision making and analytical skills Be assertive and have a mature approach Be able to work both independently and in a team Good time management skills High work standards Ability to follow rules Be organised and keep their work area neat and tidy Qualifying criteria: Matric/Grade 12 (essential) with Accountancy or Mathematics Computer Literacy (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Fraxion) At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position Other Information: Job title: Stores Administrator Reporting to: Stores Coordinator & Group Stores Manager Job type: Permanent position Benefits include: · Provident fund · Life cover · Funeral cover · 15 x paid leave days per annum · Long service leave after five years of employment Standard hours 07h30–17h00: Monday – Thursday 07h30–16h00: Friday May be required to work overtime as per operational requirements We regret that it is not possible to contact all unsuccessful applicants.
