Job Purpose:
The Deli Assistant will be responsible for delivering outstanding service to our customers, preparing and presenting deli products, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their deli selections.
- Provide product information and recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Product Preparation:
- Prepare, slice, weigh, and package deli products such as meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
- Ensure all products are presented attractively and labeled accurately.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, and ensure all products are fresh and within their sell-by dates.
- Assist with inventory counts and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Sanitation and Safety:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and surfaces regularly.
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working in a deli, grocery store, or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of deli products, food preparation, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
