Job Summary
Job Title: SAICA Audit Clerk Location: Mossel Bay, George, or Oudtshoorn.
Salary:
R8 500 – R12 500 (depending on qualifications and experience) Duties and responsibilities: Conducting audits of financial statements. Compiling financial statements. Performing independent reviews of financial statements. Processing invoices and bank transactions. Reconciling bank accounts, debtors, and creditors. Preparing VAT reconciliations and submitting VAT201 returns. Managing SARS VAT reviews and audits. Preparing management accounts. Maintaining up-to-date SAICA assessment progress. Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required: Grade 12 with strong marks in Accounting and Mathematics, currently pursuing a SAICA-accredited accounting degree. Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices. Beneficial requirements: Proficiency in financial software (Pastel/Sage Online/Xero); familiarity with Draftworx is advantageous. Excellent computer skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Customer service orientation with a professional demeanour. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills. Adaptable to new software and technologies. Capability to manage high volumes of work under pressure and meet deadlines. Being fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans will be advantageous. You will report to the Audit Manager and Audit Director, contributing to our commitment to client service excellence and professional standards.
