Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Assistant Accountant in Uitenhage.
Location: Uitenhage
Requirements:
- Relevant Finance qualification or studying towards (Accounts) plus 3 years’ experience in financial position
About:
- Assist with maintaining secure internal controls
- Integration OF Payroll (Wages/Salaries) into Finance system
- Reconciliation of all Balance sheets accounts (accruals/provision/prepayments)
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of royalty confirmation
- Responsible for preparation and submission of VAT return
- Variance analysis
- Reconciliation of all Bank accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing of finance system
- Assist with preparation of Annual Financial Statement (Income Statement and Balance Sheets)
- Submission of all statutory statistical returns (SARS & Statistics SA)
- Allocate budget and forecast to the respective cost centres and ledger accounts
- Assist with stock control, analysis, valuation for all Plants
- Assist with reporting monthly results on Group reporting system
- Assist with various other tasks as and when required
** Sign and review of: **
-Creditors (i.e. reconciliation) Foreign/ Local
-Debtors – Inter Company
-Foreign imports (sea/air & road freight)
Assistant APDP Controller:
DA190 Certificates
- Assist with timeous completion and upload of DA190 information into IRS system
- Assist with handling queries from OEM`s and customer i.ro DA190`s
- Responsible for DA190 certificates at all plants
- Assist with timeous completion and submission of DA190 reports to the OEM`s and other customers
- Assist with preparations, co-ordination and over-seeing external audit of yearly DA190 certificates
APDP
- Collation of all export documentation pertaining to the completion of MIDP/APDP certificates
- Daily update of OEM APDP system
- Assist with liaising with auditors for quarterly completion of APDP certificates and all plants
