Job Summary
As an IT Manager, you’re the captain steering the organisation’s technology ship. You ensure that the IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and always ready to support business goals. Your role goes beyond just managing systems – you’re the problem-solver, innovator and strategist who keeps the company connected, protected and prepared for the future.
From overseeing networks and ensuring seamless system performance to leading critical IT projects and implementing robust cyber security measures, you’re at the core of every technological decision. You’ll collaborate with teams, streamline processes, and ensure compliance with policies, all while staying ahead of emerging tech trends.
Being an IT Manager means wearing many hats: leader, strategist, mentor, and guardian of the organisation’s digital assets. It’s a role where your technical expertise meets creative problem-solving, enabling the business to thrive in an ever-evolving technological landscape.

Duties:
- Oversee the group’s network and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Develop and implement redundancy failover plans for systems and connectivity.
- Procure and manage hardware, software, and user licenses while adhering to procurement procedures.
- Monitor daily IT operations, including server performance, backups, and ERP integrations.
- Manage IT budgets and vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Train users on systems, procedures, and cyber security.
- Implement and maintain cyber security measures aligned with the framework.
- Develop disaster recovery plans and backup procedures.
- Monitor security systems, including cameras, and liaise with vendors as needed.
- Design, implement, and update IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, including POPIA.
- Serve as the POPI Administrator, managing data privacy policies and queries.
- Extract and analyse SQL database information for decision-making.
- Manage IT-related projects, mitigating risks and ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain thorough project documentation and identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- An Honour’s degree in related field will be advantageous.
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience with end to end management of the IT environment
- 5+ years of experience in SQL Server, ERP software, and MS Office.
- 3+ years of experience with Crystal Reports, Cloud PABX administration, and disaster recovery procedures.
