About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team in Amanzimtoti. As an Electrician at Top Recruitment (Pty) Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in our manufacturing environment. You will provide technical support to our production department, ensure good communication with production personnel, and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize machine downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the statutory inspections are done on the machine and facilities
- Ensure all the findings are highlighted to the Maintenance Manager and recorded on the maintenance system.
- Ensure correct PPE is always worn especially when attending breakdowns
- Ensure LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) principle when maintaining machines
- Provide technical support to the production department.
- Ensure good and clear communication with production personnel.
- Ensure quick response to breakdowns to achieve good machine availability.
- Maintain good quality standard of repair work to achieve good machine reliability.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (mathematics will be an added advantage)
- Must be a trade tested electrician
- 3+ years experience post training in a manufacturing/production environment
- Must have a good understanding of automation i.e. Drives and PLC’s
- Must be able to read electrical drawings
- Electrical installation experience (an added advantage)
- Must be good with fault finding and have quick remedial action
- Should portray a good understanding of preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate
- Trade tested electrician certification
- Matric certificate
