About the Role
Hire Resolve is currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our client in the manufacturing industry. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for managing the manufacturing engineering, logistics, SHE, and production operations. You will oversee the plans, designs, and maintenance of the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and develop a safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety standards and promoting continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage performance metrics and network relationships to meet safety, service, quality, and cost targets; resolve quality, service, and cost issues.
- Forecast demand and supply to ensure availability of materials, products, and services.
- Develop cost forecasts or standard cost lists for materials and services.
- Set goals and objectives for the supply chain function, create procedures for workflow control, and implement a lean supply chain environment.
- Focus on operational process improvement, deploy Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and identify cost reduction opportunities to drive financial performance.
- Establish and achieve annual budget targets with a focus on reducing year-over-year costs.
- Develop and deploy strategies to eliminate losses and align annual operating plans with the supply chain strategy.
- Communicate and reinforce site plans throughout the organization.
- Manage third-party manufacturing and logistics vendors, evaluate their performance, and work cross-functionally with procurement and logistics.
- Represent supply chain locations in new product introductions and acquisition integrations.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and legislation across all locations.
- Create a safe working environment and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Communicate master pricing and service agreements to operating units.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Ensure compliance with corporate Code of Conduct policies and provide ethical leadership.
- Select, train, develop, and retain Supply Chain associates in line with company standards.
- Develop a robust succession plan for key reporting positions.
- Build and maintain communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality and service issues.
- Participate proactively in the Sales, Operations
Requirements
- A degree in engineering, supply chain, business, management, or a related qualification is preferred but not essential.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Supply Chain Manager or in a related role, with a focus on production and materials planning and management, is essential within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of target-focused delivery in a fast-paced operational environment is required.
- Experience with the cycle count process and working knowledge of SAP or a related ERP system is necessary.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Computer literate with strong proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience in both warehouse and manufacturing industries is required.
- 4-5 years of experience in planning is needed.
