REQUIREMENTSCommerce degree/diploma in Financial Accounting/BookkeepingGood working knowledge of Pastel and Xero/Sage3-5 years working experience as a bookkeeperComputer literate (Excel | Word | General) Intermediate proficiency in ExcelStrong interpersonal and administrative skillsStrong, but friendly communication skills with colleagues and clients (an above average client services approach in terms of your work)Good time management skills.Ability to work under pressureAttention to detail with a flair for accuracyStatutory returns (PAYE reconciliations, VAT201, EMP201, ITR14, ITR12 etc.)Has experience of dealing directly with SARSPrefer to work in an environment where deadlines constantly need to be metyour own transport preferrable. RESPONSIBILITIESAble to perform the full accounting functionCash book processing and Bank reconciliationsReconcile General ledger control accounts problem solvingDaily accounting tasks including month-end procedures and journals. Daily management of account payables & account receivables dutiesCheck and process invoices to the correct department. Bank payments, bank processing & reconciliations and petty cash administration.Manage payroll processing and administrationGeneral admin duties associated with the positionAdhere to all statutory deadlines including those set by managementAudit support (Prepare file for compilations/reviews and audits).
