Bellville: Maintenance Assistant

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT FACILITIES & MAINTENANCE ABOUT THE JOB The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor with the general building maintenance and repairs of facilities and maintaining machinery & production equipment. The responsibilities may include cleaning buildings and rooms, and performing general maintenance and repair of the building, grounds, and equipment ABOUT YOU ï‚· Must have the ability to adopt practical approaches ï‚· Must have strong maintenance / handy-man skills ï‚· Planning, organizing, follow up and feedback ï‚· Strong problem-solving skills and able to multitask ï‚· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ï‚· Goal driven and Service Delivery should be your passion ï‚· Good verbal communication, with English the main medium of communication and other South African an added advantage. ï‚· Must show commitment the position requires flexibility and after-hours availability when required ï‚· Must be able to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines. THE HATS YOU MAY WEAR 1. Investigator: able to identify problems/concerns with execution of a job and inform relevant parties 2. Team player: Communicate between individuals within different departments positively and confidently to be able to carry out duties whilst keeping all needed parties informed 3. Quality assurer: Consistently checks the detail and quality of every job they execute 4. Focused: Able to finish jobs timeously and in full WHAT OTHER DETAILS / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS MAKE OUR EYES LIGHT UP, YOU ASK? 1. Grade 10 – Matric. 2. Plumbing/Building experience advantageous. 3. 1 years experience in a similar role (as a maintenance / builder/ plumber) a preference. 4. Experience in a Warehouse/Production environment, cosmetic machinery advantageous. 5. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations. 6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with high attention to detail. 7. Good communication skills. 8.
