About the Role
The Roving Stock Controller plays a vital role in maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring efficient operations across multiple locations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for visiting various sites to conduct regular stock counts, monitor inventory levels, and implement effective stock control procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular stock counts at multiple locations
- Monitor stock levels and organize restocking when necessary
- Ensure that stock is stored and handled correctly to prevent damage or loss
- Investigate any discrepancies or shortages in stock and report findings to the Stock Control Manager
- Implement and maintain stock control procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Communicate with store managers and staff to address any stock-related issues or concerns
- Assist with the implementation of new stock management systems or technologies
- Provide training and support to store staff on stock control procedures
- Generate reports on stock levels, movements, and discrepancies for management review
- Assist with other duties as required by the Stock Control Manager
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in stock control or inventory management preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Willingness to travel to multiple locations as required
