About the Role
The Central University of Technology, Free State is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director: ICT Infrastructure to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of CUT’s ICT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, support, and optimize key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems.
- Schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Manage the performance & development of staff.
- Control and implementation of ICT Security.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (NQF Level 7) or an equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA.
- Eight (8) years relevant experience, of which five (5) should be in managing ICT Infrastructure or ICT.
- Postgraduate qualification in Information Technology or related field (Honours Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or equivalent NQF Level 8).
- Ten (10) years ICT experience, of which eight (8) years are in senior infrastructure management roles.
Salary & Benefits
Minimum salary scale: R 1 235 235 per annum (2026 salary scales to be confirmed).
