About the Role
The Central University of Technology, Free State is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Deputy Director: International Academic Partnerships (P6). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our internationalisation project, including assistance with international Academic Partnerships, externally funded projects, and coordination of international partnerships. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to promote CUT’s profile to international partners and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer International Academic Partnerships
- Manage externally international funding to support partnerships and comprehensive internationalisation
- Develop implementation processes to support international partnership
- Promote CUT profile to international partners and networks
- Evaluate and monitor the projects and programmes
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Studies or equivalent qualification (NQF 9)
- Five (5) years relevant experience in international academic partnerships in a Centre for Global Engagement environment
- Desired: PhD/Doctorate or evidence of good progress towards a PhD
- More than five (5) years relevant experience in international academic partnerships in a Centre for Global Engagement environment

Salary & Benefits
Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R 1 235 235 per annum (2026 salary scales to be confirmed). Note: CUT applies an internal parity model to determine remuneration that complies with the principle of equal pay for work of equal value.
