About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Retail Shop Manager to join our team in Bloemfontein. As the continuously responsible person for the retail shop, you will be in charge of all administration and managing the outlet. You will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and driving sales and marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product selection and enquiries
- Handle and package poultry products in a hygienic manner
- Operate the till and process payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Stock shelves and manage basic inventory (accurate stock control)
- Always ensure excellent customer service
- Sales and marketing of the products in the shop
- Staff and personnel management
- Relevant general administrative management and tasks
Requirements
- Previous retail experience (advantageous)
- At least 4 years experience in small business management
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Honest, punctual, and trustworthy
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices is a plus
- Valid drivers license
- Must be bilingual
- Must be able to lead a team
- Must be detailed orientated
- Must be result orientated
