About the Role
Our client, based in Jet Park, Boksburg, is seeking an experienced Bullnose Sheet Metal Operator to join their production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for forming, cranking, and curving sheet metal used primarily in roofing applications for industrial and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate bullnosing and sheet metal forming machinery safely and efficiently
- Perform bullnosing (cranking/curving) on roofing sheets to required specifications
- Produce accurate bends, curves, and radius profiles on metal sheeting
- Work with roofing profiles including: IBR sheeting, Corrugated sheeting, Widespan sheeting
- Execute processes such as: Cranked sheeting / cranking, Reverse bullnose / reverse crank applications, Centre crank forming, Radius bending and profiling
- Ensure correct radii are achieved (typically 350mm – 800mm)
- Read and interpret production drawings and measurements
- Maintain quality standards and production deadlines
- Conduct routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Follow health and safety procedures within the workshop environment
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Bullnose Operator / Sheet Metal Operator
- Proven experience within the roofing or sheet metal fabrication industry
- Practical knowledge of: Bullnosing, Cranking, Curving processes, Radius bending techniques
- Experience working with industrial roofing applications (factories, warehouses, industrial buildings)
- Ability to work accurately with measurements and templates
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

Salary & Benefits
R45 – R75 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
