About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Administrator to join our Boksburg Branch team. As a permanent contract holder, you will be responsible for managing technical systems and information, ensuring seamless product launches and providing top-notch field and technical services support.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and support technical bulletins for engineering changes and improvements.
• Liaise with suppliers for engineering drawings for system completion.
• Conduct departmental drawings audits/checks and redlines for quality, production, and procurement.
• Request RTDs (Request to Draft) and liaise with Technical and Planning on required changes with drawings.
• Provide production floor support, liaising with the shop floor and running/capturing improvement programs on designs.
• Support production with design queries on legacy machines, supply component drawings, and investigation.
• Capture and reverse-engineer manufacturing improvements (Fabrication, Machining, and final assembly).
• Workbench tooling and jig back drafting/design.
• Hydraulic and electrical BOM audits, check, and audit for manufacturability.
• Create and audit parts and operators books.
• Evaluate alternative parts through an Alternative parts evaluation process.
• Library item support (new items and back drafting).
• Liaise with supplies on sub-contractors (Scopes, models, drawings, parts, testing, and installation documents) Ansul, A and R, Air to cool.
• Electrical, hose, and pipe modeling across all machines.
• BC support, item creation, nomenclature, and technical data support.
• Maintain accurate records and electronic databases of all technical bulletins.
• Document and track all engineering technical investigations, trails, and technical issues pertaining to all equipment.
• Promote new products and modifications offered by our company in support of KAMs (Key Account Managers) and their customers.
• Participate in the design review process when required.
• Participate in the commissioning of all new/trail/second-hand machines, mine Master, and UVB products as and when required.
• Assist with technical information on machine changes required by the client or for general improvement.
• Ensure that all modifications are sent to relevant OEMs for approval before implementing them on site or in the industry.
• Develop and create a working bill of material for parts manuals where necessary.
• Assist with deadstock project program.

Requirements

• Advanced Diploma in Engineering.
• Artisan qualification (Fitter or Millwright).
• Minimum 5 years foreman or technical support experience.
• Drivers License (willing to travel).
• BOM experience and SAP/Navision knowledge.
• Mining and underground experience (2 years).
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical schematics, and ISO certification.
• Matric/Grade 12.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma in Engineering.
• Artisan qualification (Fitter or Millwright).

Salary & Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of R20,000.00 plus medical aid and provident fund.
