About the Role
Our client, a leading company in the industry, is seeking an Account Executive to generate sales in the target market through the selling of their full Company solutions set as well as the management of key account relationships where relevant. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business in both existing and net new accounts, aligning with the strategic direction of the team.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop strategic relationships with key players in the market to aid in creating new customer base.
• Formulate new business alliances and partnerships where necessary and leverage existing personal and corporate contacts.
• Manage and continue growth of existing key accounts to set annual revenue targets.
• Close business in respect of software and consultancy sales into identified target market according to forecasted period and according to forecasted values.
• Ensure full understanding of customer’s business and solution requirements to engage at a business executive level on issues such as strategic driver enablement, process optimization, and value delivery from IT initiatives.
• Engineer commercial elements of multi-faceted proposal in terms of customer’s budget, IFRS revenue yield, NPV, and payment terms to the client.
• Maintain clear understanding of and manage customers’ existing and/or new contracts.
• Conduct contractual negotiations with the assistance of Sales Director and SAG Legal counsel.
• Maintain up-to-date forecast within Company sales management system (SalesForce.com) and ensure manager remains fully apprised of all opportunities in terms of country forecast.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of processes such as Global Deal Desk (GDD), PriSe Server, and IFRS revenue recognition spreadsheets for all opportunities prior to contract finalization.
• Manage office administration.
• Regularly maintain and update account plans and opportunity plans for customers.
• Develop sales strategies for new business opportunities with Sales Director.
• Proven track record in developing accounts into significant revenue streams.
• Understand prospect’s business and corresponding solution requirements.
• Work in conjunction with pre-sales team to provide “best solution”.
• Generate professional proposals, presentations, and/or business cases based on business opportunities uncovered timeously.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Well-presented individual.
• Strong effective communicator in writing, business presentations, and interpersonal communication.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office product set (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to interact and present to all levels within an organization, including EXCO.
• Proven track record of negotiation and deal closing across large and corporate accounts, within time constraints of forecasted opportunities.
• Track record of handling deals larger than R5,000,000 and exceeding revenue targets.
