This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company within Cape Towns premium short-term rental market. As the Accountant, you will take ownership of the full accounting function across multiple high-end properties, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Working closely with both management and operations teams, youll provide clear financial reporting and insights that support informed decision-making. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative team committed to excellence. Key Responsibilities Full accounting function including reconciliations, journals, and general ledger management Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports Oversight of accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management Processing and tracking property income, expenses, and commissions Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, VAT submissions, and statutory requirements Liaising with management, suppliers, and property owners to resolve financial queries Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit preparation Requirements Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance Minimum 35 years accounting experience, ideally within hospitality, property management, or short-term rentals Proficiency in Xero Accounting Software (essential) Strong Excel skills and familiarity with cloud-based reporting tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines Professional, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively ???????? ???? – Asap ???????????? on application.
