Designed to blend Arabic-inspired elegance with South African warmth ; Noor Cape caters to discerning guests seeking privacy, comfort, and exceptional culinary experiences. Position Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Breakfast & Light Lunch Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in preparing halal cuisine ; with a strong understanding of both Middle Eastern and traditional South African dishes . This is a hands-on role ideal for a chef who takes pride in presentation, consistency, and guest satisfaction. The position also includes responsibility for room service and light la carte lunch offerings. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve daily breakfast and light lunch menus for in-house guests. Ensure all dishes meet halal standards and respect cultural and dietary requirements. Create and maintain a small, seasonal menu that combines Middle Eastern flavours with South African classics . Handle room service orders with speed, quality, and attention to detail. Oversee kitchen hygiene, stock rotation, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage food purchasing and cost control in coordination with the General Manager. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in the kitchen and service areas. Occasionally assist with special events or private dinners when required. Requirements Minimum 35 years experience as a Breakfast Chef, Demi Chef, or similar position in a hotel, guesthouse, or boutique property. Proven experience preparing halal food non-negotiable . Knowledge of Middle Eastern and South African cuisine . Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Strong sense of hospitality and attention to detail. Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage). Remuneration Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
