About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our security operations, you will be responsible for detecting and monitoring threats, investigating incidents, and collaborating with your team to ensure the protection of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect and monitor threats before they can breach our systems
- Investigate incidents, collaborate with your team, and document findings
- Hunt down vulnerabilities and rogue devices
- Perform security assessments, update risk registers, and maintain action plans
- Identify and report non-compliance due to the importance of adhering to rules
- Run phishing and behavioural security simulations without causing harm
- Conduct controlled attack simulations to test organisational resilience
- Produce management reports that provide actionable security insights
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in analyst or operations roles
- Experienced with Microsoft security suite, including Defender XDR
- Hold a valid driver’s license (for occasional travel)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Certified in CompTIA Security
- Certified in ISC² Cybersecurity
- Certified in ISACA Cybersecurity Operations Analyst
