Cape Town City Centre: Financial Compliance Manager / Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit all relevant SARS returns , including VAT, Provisional Tax, Payroll Tax, and Employee Tax Reconciliations. Perform monthly VAT reasonableness reviews and respond to SARS documentation requests. Manage tax compliance status , reporting findings to senior management. Prepare and submit CIPC annual company returns , Stats SA questionnaires , and BBBEE documentation . Maintain the companys compliance drive , ensuring all statutory documents (tax clearance, CIPC, BBBEE, bank confirmations, etc.) are valid and up to date. Manage and update company profiles on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and register new business units as needed. Support the annual audit process , prepare and review audit files, and resolve queries promptly. Prepare and/or review audited annual financial statements in line with applicable standards. Maintain and renew licenses (liquor, TV, fleet, etc.) and manage FICA submissions. Requirements B.Com in Accounting or Finance (essential) Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a finance or compliance role Registration with an Accounting Body (e.g. SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA, etc.) Solid knowledge of South African Tax Laws , IFRS , and financial compliance processes Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a multi-entity, fast-paced environment What Youll Bring A proactive mindset with a keen eye for accuracy and risk management The ability to collaborate across departments while maintaining independence in judgment A commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
