Company and Job Description Our client is a well-known, innovative, digital services platform operating in the on-demand services space, with a strong presence across South Africa. They are seeking an Interim CFO to support the executive team on a consulting basis (±80 hours per month). This role will provide strategic oversight of the finance function, ensure continuity during the maternity period and support key commercial and operational initiatives. This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys working in agile, fast-paced, scale-up environments. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic financial leadership to the executive team Oversee financial performance, forecasting and budgeting Guide cash flow management and capital allocation Support commercial decision-making and growth initiatives Ensure strong governance, compliance and risk management Partner with leadership across operations, product and HR Oversee management reporting and financial insights Support board and investor reporting where required Mentor and guide the finance team Drive process improvements and financial efficiencies Job Experience and Skills Required Education: CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification (essential) Experience: Proven experience in a CFO / Finance Director role Experience within tech, platform, marketplace or high-growth environments (highly advantageous) Strong commercial and strategic finance exposure Board and executive stakeholder engagement experience Consulting / interim experience (advantageous) Skills: Advanced financial modelling & forecasting Strong commercial acumen Excellent stakeholder management Strategic thinker with hands-on approach Strong leadership and influencing skills Other non-negotiables: Available to comm it ±80 hours per month Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment Skills & Attributes Strategic and analytical High emotional intelligence Strong decision-making ability Results-driven Adaptable and resilient Excellent communication skills Trusted advisor mindset Apply now!
