About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead and support business analysis activities within an insurance and investments environment. The successful candidate will work independently to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translate them into actionable user stories, and partner with business and technical stakeholders to enable delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs with business and technology stakeholders.
- Analyze current-state processes, identify gaps/opportunities, and define future-state models.
- Produce clear and structured BRDs, FRDs, process maps (BPMN), data dictionaries, and decision logs.
- Write high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria (INVEST-compliant), maintain backlogs, and support definition of ready/done.
- Facilitate prioritization (incl. MoSCoW/Kano), align requirements with business value, and manage expectations.
- Communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly across business and IT.
Requirements
- 5 years as a Business Analyst, with demonstrable experience in insurance and/or investments (life, short-term, retirement, unit trusts, wealth, or related domains).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable with ambiguity.
- Proven ability to work independently and drive deliverables with minimal oversight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong facilitation and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/IT/Commerce or equivalent experience.
- Agile BA/PO certifications (e.g., IIBA/CBAP/CCBA, PSPO, SAFe) beneficial.
