Job Summary

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE Trade Tested Electrician Ten-year post apprenticeship trade experience within a FMCG environment. Good understanding of SANS 10142 requirements with regards to wiring of premises. PLC programming and fault-finding experience (Allen Bradly and Siemens) Good understanding of the manufacturing process and production machinery and its components Understanding the implications and consequences of maintenance practices on achieving agreed uptime standards and product quality and customer satisfaction Knowledge and application of relevant safety, health, and environmental legislation to ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards. Understanding of own role in the production chain and how poor performance negatively impacts on manufacturing practices and quality standards. Demonstrate the application of appropriate reporting mechanisms for unsafe working practice and conditions as well as job card reporting. Demonstrate good housekeeping practices and ability to suggest possible improvements where appropriate. Ten-year post apprenticeship trade experience within a Good understanding of mechanical components maintenance, able to replace bearings, shafts, rollers and RDCs on shift. Willing to work shifts. Able to identify and respond to problems which will negatively impact on production, quality, and safety
