Job Description

A leading premium eyewear retailer is seeking experienced, driven and fashion-forward Store Managers to lead high-performing retail teams across the above locations. The Store Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of the store, ensuring the achievement of sales and profit objectives, maintaining exceptional service and operational standards, and leading and motivating the team. The role focuses on delivering superior sales results by assisting customers in selecting products best suited to their lifestyle while executing company initiatives. Locations: Cavendish Square (Cape Town) Somerset Mall (Somerset West) Gateway Theatre of Shopping (Durban) Key Responsibilities Sales Performance Drive and manage the store sales plan and individual targets Monitor daily sales performance and implement corrective actions where needed Lead the team in consultative selling and product recommendations Review sales and operational objectives with the Area/Centre Manager Ensure staff are fully informed on procedures, promotions and policies Authorise discounts in line with company guidelines People Management & Development Prepare and manage staff schedules aligned to peak trading times Recruit, train and develop high-performing Sales Consultants Provide regular coaching, feedback and performance management Conduct weekly team meetings to review performance Manage disciplinary matters in line with company policy Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline within the mall community Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training initiatives Customer Experience Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally and timeously Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business Assess repairs and manage warranty processes effectively Stay informed on fashion trends, retail trends and competitor activity Stock Control Maintain strict inventory control and minimise stock loss Plan and manage stock takes Investigate and report discrepancies Ensure daily stock counts per shift Process returns and IBTs according to company procedure Manage shrinkage within targeted ratios Store Operations Ensure store presentation meets visual merchandising standards Maintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards Oversee daily cash-ups and banking Perform daily cash reconciliation Ensure control sheets are completed for each shift change Maintain sufficient operational and cleaning supplies Minimum Requirements Essential Matric certificate Previous retail or customer service experience Proven track record of achieving sales targets Preferred Tertiary qualification in Retail Management or Commerce Minimum 2 years’ retail management experience
