An experienced and strategic Cluster Financial Controller is sought to lead the Finance and Accounting division of two full-service hotels, based in Cape Town. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is crucial in ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and the overall financial health of the properties. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Finance and Accounting division, providing strong leadership and people development. Prepare annual budgets and strategic plans in collaboration with other managers and shareholders. Manage year-end reporting requirements in line with group policies. Generate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and Head Office reports. Prepare Board Reports and flash profit/revenue reports. Conduct forecasting, budget preparation, and cash flow management. Support the General Manager with commercial decisions, including legal, insurance, and capital expenditure matters. Ensure the integrity and maintenance of all financial reporting systems. Adhere to group financial policies and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Liaise with external service providers and auditors. Oversee payroll and IT systems, ensuring smooth operations. Manage department staff, including training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. Requirements: Must be a SA Citizen Matric / Grade 12 qualification A minimum of 7 years of relevant financial leadership experience in a hotel environment. Proven business, auditing, and commercial acumen. Proficiency in POS, PMS, and Accpac or similar accounting packages, with advanced MS Excel skills. Strong strategic focus and analytical abilities. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and integrity. Professional and presentable, with the ability to work occasional overtime. Qualifications: A relevant Diploma, Bachelors Degree, or similar professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
