Job Description
- Prepare and set up CNC press brake machines for production runs.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies and fixtures.
- Program machine controls to achieve required dimensions and tolerance
- Operate press brake to bend sheet metal into specified shapes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and job orders.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (Calipers, gauges, micrometers)
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues
- Adhere to company health and safety rules and MEIBC regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work closely with supervisors, production planners, and quality inspectors.
- Record production data, downtime and completed jobs.
Requirements
- Education- Grade 10
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience operating CNC press brake machines.
- Familiarity with Amanda, Bystronic or similar press brake systems preferred. Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Proficiency in CNC programming and machine controls
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
