Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement distribution strategies to meet customer requirements and improve efficiency
- Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure the timely delivery of products
- Lead and supervise a team of warehouse and logistics staff, providing training and performance feedback
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations in the warehouse
- Analyze data and reports to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Develop relationships with carriers and suppliers to optimize transportation and distribution costs
- Resolve any issues or complaints related to distribution operations
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification degree/diploma in logistics.
- Minimum 10 – 15 years of distribution and warehousing experience in an FMCG environment within a large distribution center environment
- Minimum 5 years experience in a management position (managing a workforce of more than 50)
- Proven track record of successfully implementing operational best practices in a distribution and warehousing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of WMS experience.
- ERP systems knowledge and experience (JDE).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Demonstrated success with productivity and cost-saving initiatives.
