Financial Manager Maitland Cape Town

Our Engineering client in Maitland Cape Town is looking for a Financial Manager that will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. This includes managing financial planning, reporting, and analysis, as well as ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.

Min Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or similar professional qualification is highly desirable.

10 Years Experience as a Financial manager – Engineering Environment

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.

Financial Reporting

Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to senior management and stakeholders.

Compliance and Governance

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP).

Cash Flow Management – Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the organization meets its financial obligations.

Cost Control – Analyze costs and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.

Risk Management – Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Stakeholder Communication – Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders to ensure transparency and accuracy in financial reporting.
