About the Role
A leading company in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join their team. Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, this key role is responsible for accounts receivable management, credit control, cash flow monitoring, and general ledger maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable, including timely collection, allocation of payments, and managing overdue accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and distribute monthly customer statements.
- Conduct credit risk assessments and recommend credit limits.
- Set and monitor collection targets to manage cash flow.
- Perform balance sheet and bank statement reconciliations.
- Prepare various monthly reports for management review.
- Assist with audit preparation by collating documentation and acting as a liaison for queries.
Requirements
- Financial diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2-3 years experience in a generalist finance role, with a focus on accounts receivable and credit control.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting software, including Pastel.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet reporting (Advanced Excel is advantageous).
- Knowledge and understanding of POPIA compliance.

- Financial diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
